Sentiment Only Challenge

Stacie has moved her challenge to Saturday so I'm taking over Wednesdays!! I'm not nearly as good at alliteration as she is!! You can now count on challenges 2 days a week over at The Latte Lounge Main Forum.


My challenge is to use a sentiment as the only image on your card. The challenge will run from today until 11:59 PM January 25th. The prize is 2 images from The Stamping Boutique and let me tell you Tracey has recently added some absolutely wonderful images.


Here's my sample card using a Unity Stamp image and JLJ Designs Digi Paper Pack.

Sporty Saturday Challenge at the Latte Lounge

After speaking with my Latte Lounge teammates, we have all decided that we're fans of "alliteration".

That means, according to Wikipedia:

repetition of a particular sound in the first syllables of a series of words and/or phrases.

What that means to you, dear Reader, is that from now on, the Saturday Challenges will all include some kind of alliteration. This week, the title of the challenge is all the letter "S"! (Sporty Saturday).

It could be in the title of the challenge or in the challenge itself... guess you'll have to come back every week to find out!! Isn't that EXCITING!!??!!  {insert Smiley face here}}  (-:

Everyone seems to have jumped past New Years and leaped right into Valentine's Day and we've all forgotten one of the biggest holidays of the year: SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!

So in honor of all the football fans, to those gearing up for March Madness, and for those who like to go shopping while hubby hogs the remote, this one is for YOU!!

You'll have two weeks to submit anything "Sporty" over at the Latte Lounge for a chance to win Stamping Boutique Images!!!

Happy Birthday

Good morning!!  It's time for a new challenge at The Latte Lounge.  This time around I'm asking to see your Birthday creations, since my birthday is next week, I thought this would be fun.  The challenge will run for 2 weeks so you will have until Jan. 20 to enter.  The prize will be 2 images of your choice from The Stamping Boutique.

Here are some cards I have made for inspiration...

For this card I cut out the cupcake and sentiment using my Cricut that I got for Christmas.  They are on the Sweet Treats cart.  The DP is DCWV.

The image and sentiment on this card are from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored the image with BIC Markits.  The DP is from my stash.

I made this card for my son who will be celebrating his eighth birthday this Sunday.  The image is from The Stamping Boutique.  I colored the image with BIC Markits.  The DP is from JLJ Designs.  The sentiment is from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I can't wait to see all your birthday creations.

ABC Challenge - Last week!

It's the last week to enter the ABC Challenge at The Latte Lounge. I have two projects to share for this challenge. These bows are made with Dots Digi Papers (printed on both sides). I usedthis tutorial, which I modified by making each strip 1" shorter to allow me to use a letter sized sheet of paper.

I had a few more gift card holders to finish for Christmas this year. I used this tutorial and mini stamps from Your Next Stamp. The papers are DCWV and I used some new buttons I got in the after-Christmas sales.

We have lots of excitement planned for this year at The Latte Lounge. We'll be having a digi day Jan 22nd 8 - 10 pm ET. New challenges will be starting this week.

Group of the Month

Something new we will be doing in the New Year. We will be supporting a card making organization each month.

We are starting with Card Cupids.





About Card Cupids
Mission:

Card Cupids mission is to provide encouragement and joy by sending Card Cuddle Care Packages to children who are facing difficult challenges in their young lives regardless of their economic background.


How it works:
This organization is designed to collect and send a bundle of cards with words of encouragement to needy children for their birthday or in a time of need along with a cuddly card package that includes a stuffed animal. We will help to make sure that each needy child’s birthday is celebrated and that children in the hospital receive well wishes A child can be referred by a friend, family member, teacher, social worker or other agency. Cards will be collected and then sent to the nominee along with a stuffed animal to brighten their day.

How you can help:
1. Nominate a child that you believe would benefit from one of our Card Cupid Cuddly Card Packages.

2. Send in a handmade card to be sent to one of our card cupid recipients. (Please refer to the detailed requirements under the card makers section.)

3. Donate funds or make a purchase from the Etsy for Card Cupids to help pay for shipping or the purchase of the stuffed animals.


Card Cupids has weekly challenges you can play along with and some wonderful exclusive digi images for sale!!



We are hoping that you can join us in helping out this wonderful organization.

SAVE THE DATE -- We are in the planning stages of a Digi Day for Saturday January 22nd from 8-10 PM EST. More details will be coming soon!!

We will be starting our challenges back up this coming week. Rhonda will start us off on Thursday and I'll have on on Saturday. You'll find a monthly schedule below with the dates of our challenges but you'll have to come back to see what each challenge will be!!

Quick Update
