Featured member Monday!!!

Holy Cow, I'm late again!! Sorry!!

So here we go --- this week's Featured Member is
STACIE GORSE!!!!

Let's start by getting to know a little about Stacie

Hi! My name is Stacie and my online identity is “Hestia’s Helper”. Hestia is the Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home, and as her “Helper”, it is my job to promote domestic peace and harmony. My wonderful husband Joe and I are self-employed and run a Building Services business. One branch of our business includes Housecleaning. That is where the name came from, in case anyone was wondering. We promote domestic tranquility by providing a clean and calm environment… Have you ever had your house professionally cleaned? You know the feeling you get on cleaning day when you come home to a nice, clean house! Hestia was there!

A little about me personally: I can still check the box in the 35-40 age category, but only for a few more months! Joe and I have been married 10 years and have 2 awesome boys, ages 8 & 9. They sometimes like to craft with me and other times, like to steal my supplies for what they call “projects”… oh what fun it is to be the mom of boys!

The Stamping Boutique is my first EVER Design Team so I am excited and nervous at the same time! I’m looking forward to working with their AWESOME team!

How long have you been paper crafting? Only about 9 months!

How did you get started in paper crafting?
I got a Cricut Expression for Christmas last year and it was my intro to the whole world of paper crafting! I started out just surfing the web for info on how to use the Cricut because I wanted to make a scrapbook. Then I found Digital Stamping, then card-making. It has been an exhilarating journey and I’m having a ball!

What crafting item can you not live without?
One item? Hmmm, guess I’d have to say my paper trimmer! I use it for every project…

What is your favorite paper crafting company?
Right now, I would have to say it’s an even split between DCWV or Colorbok. I love the textures and patterns of DCWV packs and Colorbok came out with a whole line of papers that are only $5 a pack at Walmart, so it’s less stressful to experiment when it doesn’t break the bank.

What is your favorite coloring medium?
I always use Colored Pencils. I recently bought a set of Prismacolor pencils and LOVE them! There really is a BIG difference between the Prismacolors and Crayola’s! Haven’t ventured into Copics yet, but I’m thinking about it… Christmas is coming!!

Do you have any other hobbies?
I play piano and am working on teaching my boys how to play. I also love to cook and bake. Is housekeeping a hobby? Y’know, something you do once in a while? If so, that’s my biggest one! (-: (especially the “once in a while” part)—hee hee! (-:

Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself?
Here’s my blog address: http://hestiashelper.blogspot.com

Now take a look at some of Stacie's creations!! One of the things that most impresses me about her work is her incredible detention to details!!

As always we appreciate you following us and hope you'll join in the chatting, challenges and fun at The Latte Lounge.
